Insurance & Out-Of-Network Benefits

I don't take insurance. And that can be good news: more flexibility. That means no waiting for an insurance company to decide if you “qualify” for help, no “10 sessions only” limits, so I can focus on what you need instead of only what insurance thinks you are qualified for.

To support my clients, I have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. If you qualify, Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed.
Signing up for Mentay is free. They do charge a 5% fee per claim and have helped people get thousands of dollars back per year.

If you don't want to use Mentaya I provide Superbills (aka fancy receipts) at the end of the month for you to submit to your insurance on your own. Little warning: It is your responsibility to figure out with your insurance what out-of-network benefits you have and what they will cover.

I do have a few reduced-fee spots available each year for those who need them.

Do you offer in-person and telehealth/online sessions?

I offer convenient, secure online therapy for anyone residing in California and Utah. I also see clients in-person at my comfortable, stroller-friendly office located in Tustin, CA.

What if my baby cries or needs to eat during our session?

Bring the baby! If you are nursing, bottle-feeding, or bouncing a newborn on your knee, you are welcome here. We will work around your reality. If you need to turn your camera off for a moment, that is completely fine.

How do I know if this is the right fit for me?

You want a therapist who can handle your whole story, the complicated, messy stuff, and really see you as a whole person. You might be new to therapy, or you might have tried multiple approaches before. Either way, you're not looking for someone who will just let you skate by. I'm the kind of therapist who's genuinely curious about your whole story. I'm warm but direct, and I'll ask questions that help you see things differently.

I can talk through your concerns or fears, and we can figure out how to move safely and slowly at your pace. So, come as you are - confused, resistant, skeptical, whatever. Some sessions you'll have breakthroughs, others you'll just cry. And at some we might laugh. It’s all part of the process. If you want to heal, I can help.

If you have further questions, I am always happy to answer them via email or you can schedule a free 15-minute consultation phone call.
