We’ve all been there: you understand your triggers intellectually, you’ve analyzed your childhood, and you know why you feel the way you do—but the physical feeling of anxiety or "stuckness" won’t go away.

That is because traditional talk therapy primarily engages the neocortex (the thinking, language-oriented part of the brain). However, trauma and emotional dysregulation are often stored in the subcortical brain—the midbrain and brainstem.

The "Bottom-Up" Advantage Brainspotting is a "bottom-up" therapy. Instead of using words to try and change feelings, we use the visual field to access the nervous system directly.

  • The Optic Nerve Connection: Your eyes are a physical extension of your brain. By holding a specific "Brainspot," we bypass the filtering of the neocortex.

  • Neuroplasticity in Action: This process allows the brain to "digest" unprocessed trauma, effectively Rewiring the neural pathways that keep you in a state of hyper-vigilance.

When we find the right eye position, we aren't just looking at a pointer; we are opening a door to the brain's innate capacity to heal itself.
